RE: Kidney Health Awareness Talk

There are more than 15,000 patients on dialysis in Malaysia. Many of these patients are young and still productive if not for this disease. With proper treatment and rehabilitation, these individuals can improve their quality of life and return to gainful employment. Sadly, these patients will not be alone. Statistics show that every year, an average of 3,000 other Malaysians will join them mainly due to unhealthy lifestyle and diet.

To decrease the ever rising number of kidney failure patients in Malaysia, Public Education Department of National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF) has been conveying the message of healthy living directly to the public. We have been carrying out health talks, public forums, health exhibitions and health screenings to increase the awareness of the early detection and prevention of kidney disease and kidney associated diseases.

We hereby would like to offer a free kidney health awareness talk titled “Caring for Your Kidneys” to the Leos of Leo Clubs to increase their knowledge and awareness on this dreadful disease. Prevention is better than cure and prevention should start young.

We look forward to your positive response on this offer and kindly contact me at 03-79549048 (Ext 242) or email me at ying_edu@nkf.org.my for the necessary arrangement.

Thank you for your kind consideration.
